A Dream Planted, A Church Reborn
When Pastor Richard Norris and his wife Shanon moved to Denton in the summer of 2007 with their two children, they brought with them a dream. After more than 15 years in youth ministry, God placed a new passion in Richard’s heart—a vision for a thriving, life-giving church where people from all walks of life could connect with God and each other in real and lasting ways.
That dream began to take shape when Richard stepped into the role of Lead Pastor at EaglePointe Church. With a small but committed group of people, the church was relaunched—this time with a clear focus: to be a place where everyone feels loved unconditionally, where relationships matter deeply, and where encountering the presence of God is not only possible, but expected.
Since that relaunch, EaglePointe has seen incredible growth—not just in numbers, but in stories. We've watched lives transformed by the hope of Jesus, and we've seen God move in powerful, personal ways. Week after week, people walk through our doors and find a place to belong, to grow, and to experience God in a way that changes everything.
We believe that the best is still ahead. God is writing a beautiful story here in the Denton area, and we’re just getting started.
